Mt Hood Nordic Skate Group Lessons

Mt Hood Nordic is offering two group Skate lessons on 3/23, and 3/30. These sessions are perfect if you have some experience skate skiing and are able to move around some, but are looking for key points work on to be able to advance with your technique.  These sessions were originally designed to help those preparing for the iconic Pole Pedal Paddle, but also work if you are just looking for additional instruction. 

These clinics are 90 minutes long and like all of the Mt Hood Nordic Programs- designed to give you cues to know what skiing should FEEL like, so you can continue to practice and be your own "coach".

Learn-

  • mechanics of skate sking and basic body posture for efficient skiing
  • the efficient movement of the modern double pole
  • the two primary "gears" of skate skiing- V2 and V1
  • finding the smaller steps within those gears to tackle any terrain
  • Downhill technique

Attending both sessions is not required but recommended if you are serious about improving your technique!

They will run between 10-11:30 with a optional Ski Care Clinic and demonstration afterwords.
