Teacup / Mt. Hood Nordic is providing a 2 night overnight "training camp" for U12 and 14 year old Nordic skiers July 27-29, 2026
The focus areas of this camp are:
- Having fun being active outdoors!
- Introducing activities that help reinforce the skiing fundamentals that athletes have been learning on snow in the Mt. Hood Nordic Pipeline Program. (shhh, its NOT training...)
- Increase the community and camaraderie of the the Mt. Hood and surrounding area's 11-14 yrs old Nordic skiers.
Details:
- Camping at Tollbridge Campground in Parkdale - We will provide food, but athletes need to provide tent, Camping items, plates, Silverware, Also NNN Skate boots for roller skiing (and roller skis and poles if possible)
- Parents are welcome to drop your athlete off or stay at the Campground or nearby depending on how comfortable the athlete is on sleeping away for two nights.
- Camp will be led by Kelly Ryan and Jason Lemieux, Teacup's Program Coach and General Manager. Both are US Ski and Snowboard Licensed Coaches and Safe Sport trained.
- Developmentally- this camp will be appropriate for the Nordic skier who likes being outdoors with fellow athletes, knows how to skate ski, and enjoys running and moving. Age range of 11-14 is ideal. Older or younger ok with coach approval.
