Teacup Nordic

Teacup Lake Nordic is dedicated to cross-country skiing that's fun! Whether you're touring or skiing on racing gear, you'll enjoy 20 kilometers of groomed trails and the camaraderie of people who love cross country skiing. Teacup trails are near Highway 35 on Mt. Hood. Teacup is operated by the Teacup Lake chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club, under a volunteer agreement with the Mt Hood National Forest. Volunteers maintain the trails and facilities and organize cross country ski events and races. Donations and membership fees keep the entire operations going. Grooming over for the 2009-10 season

We had another great season. Although snow levels were low, we had just enough to ski on. Late snows added another couple of weeks to the season and there is still plenty of snow in mid April, but it's too warm to groom easily - maybe it's time to get out those back country skies...

WASHINGTON STATE SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND NORDIC SKI OUTING A GREAT SUCCESS!

For the third year Teacup was host to a snow outing for students from the Washingtion State School for the blind. With the aid of 25 volunteers (from the school, various chapters of the ONC, the US Forest Service, friends a family) the students ditched the snowshoes this year and tried nordic skiing! They surprised everyone with how well they did! The weather was perfect for the event and the kids had a great time. Overall a fantastic experience for everyone involved. Thanks to all the volunteers!! See the Photos

An Oregonian reporter and photographer were there to capture it. Read about it on OregonLive.com!
