Nordic Skiing State Championships
Teacup Nordic will host 120 racers plus race support crew of 50, plus parents, relatives, friends, and supporters. The Teacup cabin is race headquarters and the area surrounding the cabin will be occupied by team tents. The snow park will be overflowing with participants of the events.
Even though there are severe trail closures, the public and media are encouraged to attend the events on Feb 19 and 20. It will be at least another 3 years before the High School Championships returns to Teacup. The race organizers will do their best to guide the spectators to viewing locations on the race course.
Friday Feb 19th:
ALL trails will be closed from dawn until 3pm.
Race course trails: Teacup Road, Lakeside, Nordic Way, Stump, Huckleberry, Mountain View, Teatime and Wahoo will remain closed until 3pm Saturday, Feb 20.
Saturday Feb 20:
The following trails will be open but not freshly groomed: Meadow Trail, Hood River Road, Larch, Screamer, Owly Way, Elkhorn, Lumberjack, Hemlock, and Spruce.
Closed race course trails from dawn Friday until 3pm Saturday: Teacup Road, Lakeside, Nordic Way, Stump, Huckleberry, Mountain View, Teatime, and Wahoo.
Sorry, the early morning skiers must (please) skip their Friday and Saturday workouts.
